The Super Simple Salad Dressing I Make on Repeat

If there’s one thing I’ve learned over time, it’s that eating well doesn’t have to be complicated. In fact, some of the best habits are the ones that are so simple you actually stick to them.

This salad dressing is one of those habits.

I make it once, keep it in the fridge, and use it all week — on salads, grain bowls, roasted veggies, or even as a quick drizzle over greens when dinner needs to happen now.

No fillers. No preservatives. No mystery ingredients. Just three pantry staples.

My Go-To Simple Salad Dressing

Ingredients

  • ½ cup olive oil (or oil of your choice)

  • 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar

  • ⅓ cup maple syrup

That’s it.

How to Make It

Add all ingredients to a jar or small container with a lid. Shake well until fully combined.

Taste and adjust if needed — you can add a touch more balsamic if you like it tangier, or a bit more maple syrup if you prefer it sweeter. Store in the fridge and shake before using.

Why I Love This Dressing

It’s realistic. This takes under a minute to make, which means I actually do it — even on busy days.

It’s lower-tox than store-bought. Many bottled dressings contain seed oils, artificial flavors, preservatives, and added sugars. Making it at home keeps things simple and transparent.

It helps me eat more veggies. When healthy food tastes good, you’re more likely to reach for it. A good dressing makes salads feel less like a chore and more like something you want to eat.

It’s kid-friendly.The slight sweetness from the maple syrup balances the acidity of the balsamic, which makes this a hit even with picky eaters.

Ways I Use It

  • Everyday green salads

  • Roasted vegetables

  • Quinoa or grain bowls

  • Chickpea or lentil salads

  • A quick drizzle over spinach or arugula

Simple ingredients really shine here.

This is your reminder that eating well doesn’t require complicated recipes or hours in the kitchen. Sometimes it’s just about finding a few staples you love and letting them do the heavy lifting.
